WHERE:
We meet on the greenbelt once you turn onto Anderson Street from PCH. If you are late to drop or early to pick up, please walk your child to our tent on the beach. Please respect the neighbors and do not block traffic.
REQUIREMENTS
Ages 4 - 8 (older campers welcome but may find Seal Training or Surf more challenging.)
Campers will be assisted in the ocean if they desire and may wear a life vest. Parents are welcome to watch from the beach but we ask that you try to stay separate from camp so that your child may integrate into the group

UNIFORM
Our optional uniform includes a Boogie Wonderland T-shirt & hat. We will provide rash guards for the water so we can keep a good eye on your camper but if you’d like to take one home, please purchase one online.

Sunscreen - please apply prior to arrival and pack your preferred brand as well
Wetsuit (not required but recommended

Kick off the week with creativity—campers design their own custom sunglasses to wear all summer long!🎨 Tie Dye Tuesday
A splash of color and a swirl of fun—tie-dye day is a bright and messy favorite!🧭 Wayfind Wednesday
We explore our natural surroundings and dive into a nature-inspired craft that helps campers connect with the environment.♻️ Thoughtful Thursday
It's our “Trash or Treasure” Beach Cleanup—a hands-on way to care for the coast and learn about ocean stewardship.🍩 Fun Friday
We wrap up the week with donuts, a dance party, and hopefully group boogie sessions.
GENERAL DAILY SCHEDULE:
A gentle rhythm for groms ages 4–8—with plenty of play, rest, and salty joy - subject to change based on water conditions.
👋 9:00 AM – Drop-Off at the Greenbelt (Anderson St.)
• Quick check-in and hand off to staff
• Campers meet their group and counselors for the day’s intro
➡️ 9:05 AM – Walk to the Beach
• Campers travel together to our Boogie Wonderland Tent
🏃 9:15 AM – Movement & Group Games
• Beach relays, dance-offs, or silly tag to start the day with movement
🌊 9:30 AM – Water & Sand Play
• Get into our bright rashguards then splash arounds, castle building
• Boogie time! Life vests welcome! Water time is optional and always supervised
🥤10:30 AM – Back on the Beach & Snack Break
• Rest, story time, and mellow music under the shade tent & snack
• Sunscreen reapplication and hydration reminder
🎨 10:45 AM – Craft or Highlighted Activity
• Tie-dye, treasure hunts, beach art, or nature crafts—varies by day
🎒 11:15–11:45 AM – Lunch then pack up and head back

CANCELLATION POLICY
As a small California public benefit corporation (in process), Aqualand of the Free works hard to keep our water education programs affordable while paying staff fairly and planning safe, high-quality camps.
Because camp capacity is limited and resources are scheduled ahead of time, the following cancellation policy applies:
Cancellations made at least 7 days prior to the start of camp (by 6:00 PM Monday) will receive a 75% refund.
The remaining 25% is a non-refundable deposit that secures your child’s spot.
Cancellations made within 7 days of the camp start date are non-refundable.
Please register with confidence in your schedule or with the understanding that enrollment includes a 25% non-refundable deposit.

CODE OF CONDUCT AND REMOVAL POLICIES FOR CAMPERS
Campers and class participants must adhere to behavioral expectations laid out by Aqualand staff which include but are not limited to:
Respectful communication with staff
Zero use of profanity
Zero physical violence or unwanted physical contact with other campers - keep hands to themselves
No throwing or kicking of sand
Campers must stay with the group at all times
Campers must participate in all activities
Campers must respond to verbal instructions and directions from staff i.e. it's time to get out of the water, do not go in the water etc.
Campers must follow all direction given that is specific to the dynamic conditions and safety of watermen activities, watercraft safety and ocean activities.
Campers who are repeatedly unable to adhere to our code of conduct will participate in a parent and camper meeting with Aqualand staff.
Campers who continue to be unable to comply with our code of conduct will be removed from the remainder of camp at the discretion of Aqualand.
Aqualand reserves the right to remove any camper at any time and at our discretion.
Attending Aqualand is a privilege, not a right.
