Aqualand Homeschool Tuesday AM Surf Sessions – Fall 2025
Keep the summer stoke alive this fall with Tuesday Surf Mornings at Aqualand!
Join us for fun, skill-building, and waterman focused surf sessions every Tuesday from 8:30–10:30 AM, starting September 9th through November holiday break. We have a “no idle time” program where even if the surf isn’t great, your child will be occupied, supervised and learn something that contributes to their journey as a waterman.
🏄♂️ Meet Matty Mitchell
Matty Mitchell is the founder and fearless leader of Aqualand of the Free. A world-class waterman from Long Beach, CA, he blends years of surfing, ocean lifeguarding, and junior‑guard instructing with a genuine passion for the ocean.
Matty leads Aqualand’s waterman programs with humor, safety-first instruction, and a contagious love of the sea. Matty along with our home school staff are excited to work with your children this fall.
📍 Location: Surfside at Anderson Street or Warner Turnaround (location may vary based on conditions)
🌊 Ages: 5 and up — must be able to swim
🕶️ Parents welcome on the beach (but not in our tent, please)
What to bring:
Wetsuits are not provided and strongly recommended
Please arrive with wetsuits on waist-down so we can head straight to the waves
Boards are provided (no hardboards)
🎟️ Space is limited to 20 participants per month.
Reserve your spot with a non-refundable $100 materials fee and we will invoice you when class begins. You may pay our of pocket or with the following charter funds: Cabrillo, Blue Ridge, Suncoast, Sage Oak, Epic & Granite Mountain.
$220/month for September & October
$165 for November

We provide all surf boards and rash guard.
Students may bring their own board but no hard boards please.

REQUIREMENTS
YOUR CHILD MUST BE WATER-SAFE/ABLE TO SWIM WITHOUT A LIFE VEST.
CANCELLATION POLICY
We do not offer makeup classes unless we cancel class. Our year-long commitment includes a 30-day notice requirement. Families are financially responsible for the entire month regardless of attendance.
If you need to remove your child from our home school enrichment program, a prorated amount of the remaining balance will be refunded, minus a 20% cancellation fee.
To process a cancellation, please notify us in writing as soon as possible. Refunds will be issued based on the remaining portion of the class at the time of cancellation.
